Mayo Clinic's program is unique because of its small size, flexible curriculum, dedicated staff and excellent rapport with other medical and surgical specialties. Although the emphasis is on clinical practice, the program also includes an extensive didactic program and research training. You receive exposure to the entire spectrum of dental treatment and total patient care as 11 of the program's 12 quarters are devoted to dental, medical and surgical specialties. These rotations emphasize clinical and radiographic interpretation, the care of surgical patients, and interdisciplinary treatment for patients undergoing dental implant reconstruction.
